YOUTH WHO ARE
ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS IN
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
SLYE VIRTUAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
The SLYE Virtual Leadership Program is a four week online program for high school students from the Toronto area between the ages of 13-18, designed to provide leadership and skills development. Youth leaders will gain leadership skills and have the opportunity to put those skills into practice through the planning and leading of an online community resource fair (which we call a Roadshow!).
The SLYE Virtual Leadership Program will begin with a 2-hour leadership workshop in week one, followed by 1-hour skill development workshops during weeks two & three. Each week you will also meet with your Roadshow Planning Group and your SLYE Facilitator to begin planning your Roadshow. SLYE Youth Leaders will then lead a 1-hour Roadshow during week four of programming.
All participants will receive volunteer hours, a gift card and certificate for completing the SLYE Virtual Leadership Program (which includes attending each workshop and participating in the planning & executing the Roadshow).
NOTE: We will be hosting multiple SLYE Virtual Leadership Program sessions from the January to May semester. You may only attend one session per semester (for example, if you attend the program in January, you may not attend the program again until September).

ROADSHOW TOPICS & DATES
Join SLYE and the Toronto Public Health for an online information session on COVID-19. The session will cover COVID-19 transmission, prevention, testing, vaccination and existing community supports. Youth will be able to ask any COVID-19 related questions they may have during our Q&A Session. Youth who actively participate will have the opportunity to gain Volunteer Hours!
SLYE YOUTH COUNCIL
SLYE Youth Council consists of youth leaders (aged 13-18) from the Steeles-L'Amoreaux area in Scarborough who organize, lead, and support community initiatives!
During our virtual meetings, youth leaders volunteer hours and work experience. Youth also have the opportunity to build friendships with others in their community.
